I just realized I got mine 3 years ago already, and it's still working perfectly. Considering I use it every single day, it's great news in a time when you can call yourself lucky if your appliances reach 6 months of age.

I love this product! Even though I did not purchase the mini-chopper, I use this for making salsa, chopping items for soups etc. However, the main reason I purchased it was for fresh fruit smoothies and I am not disappointed! From simple mixing to creamy salad dressings and sumptious, full bodied drinks. Wonderful item for a surprising inexpensive price! I am impressed! I even bought one for my daughter!
Review #3: Plastic gears

I've been using this blender for almost 3 months now and it just failed. After close inspection I realized the motor shaft has a couple flanges on it that lock into a plastic gear. The gear stripped out and so the blade no longer turns.
When it was working this was a great product, it has a powerful motor and a sharp blade. I used it to make fruit smoothies. Unfortunately one of the most important parts, the gear that locks the blade shaft to the motor, is cheap plastic and will not last very long.

Cuisinart CSB-76BC SmartStick 200-Watt Immersion Hand Blender, Brushed ChromeI highly recommend this product. I bought it for traveling and it served the purpose beautifully. Easy to pack and clean. I like it so much that I now use it when at home as well. Perfect for one serving shakes, even when thick with fruit it chops and blends in moments. Haven't used with ice but I'll bet it works just as well. It's a powerful and handy little appliance.

I love this blender- I use it all the time for salad dressing, mayo, smoothies- it's great. Easy to clean. The only complaints I have is that "chrome" is gray plastic, not chrome, and it really can't handle whole ice cubes, they have to be crushed first. I've only had it for about two weeks, but so far I'm happy. |
