Customer Reviews:

Review #1: Very simple and makes great ice cream!
2007-03-27
My husband and I found this attachment to be very simple to use, install, and clean. The ice cream was so good! On our very FIRST try, our ice cream tasted like a premium brand of ice cream that you might purchase in the store. The in-laws were also impressed and anything that impresses them, must be good! It's worth every penny.

Some tips:
1. Freeze ice cream after making it unless you prefer soft serve.
2. Keep the freeze bowl in the freezer at all times so it is ready to use.
3. Don't expect ice cream on the demand. It's a bit of the lengthy process even if you keep your freeze bowl in the freezer all the time.
4. Invest in some quality storage containers that can be stored in the freezer--this attachment makes A LOT of ice cream and you will need a place to put it. (Ikea has some great glass containers that seem to have been made just for the purpose of storing ice cream!).
5. Although the ice cream maker comes with some great recipes, don't be afraid to experiment and make your own delicious creation!
6. Enjoy!

Review #2: A must-have for ice cream lovers
2007-03-22
This ice cream maker is wonderful, we couldn't love our kitchenaid mixer more than we do, and this is a wonderful addition. It is very easy to use, and cleans up great. I would also recommend looking into getting the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream cookbook with this as well - there are some wonderful receipes that taste just like the store bought, only you get more of it for the price!

Review #3: yum!
2007-03-20
the drive assembly part came cracked, but i was still able to use it to try out the ice cream maker, and came up with a yummy batch of caramel pecan. (recipe from the included booklet) i called KA yesterday about the cracked part, and they were very nice and sent the replacement part out to me. definitely the "no hassle" guarantee as promised. can't wait to try out more with the new part.

Review #4: Ice cream lover
2007-03-16
As an ice cream lover who's watching her weight, I love being able to experiment with recipes and make my own ice cream. This maker is well made and you can make a batch while you're eating dinner to be ready for dessert. We have an additional freezer, so keeping the cannister at the ready isn't an issue. However, if freezer space is limited for you, it may not be the best choice.

Review #5: Easy to use and great results
2007-03-15
This is certainly worth the money. The set up was simplicity itself. Right out out of the box - ok, actually after the requisite 15 hours of chill-time in the freezer - I made one of the recipes included in the user's guide. Tada! Perfect ice cream. Clean up was easy and back into the freezer went the bucket ready for the next batch. (The next batch was made the following day.) If you are a KitchAid owner and want to venture into homemade ice cream making, this is certainly the way to go.
