Uniquely designed with similarities to an espresso machine, this coffeemaker features a 1,450-watt boiler that brews a 4-ounce cup of coffee in just 30 seconds, or two 4-ounce cups or one 8-ounce mug in 60 seconds. Because the machine uses premeasured coffee pods, the system is hassle-free, is easy to clean, and guarantees a flavorful, fresh brew each time. Measuring 13-1/2 by 12 by 8-1/2 inches, the coffeemaker is shaped like a curved cylinder with a round base. Two pod holders are included: a shallow holder that holds one coffee pod for one cup, and a deeper filter that holds two pods for two cups (or one 8-ounce mug). After filling the removable reservoir with fresh water to the "max" line, the pods are inserted and the lid locked into place. A simple push of the "on/off" button and either of the one- or two-cup buttons starts the brewing process. Up to five 4-ounce cups can be brewed on one reservoir of water. Cups are not included, but almost any 4-ounce cup or 8-ounce mug will do the trick. Review #1: Jury's still out on this one

I just got this machine and am really impressed with the convenience factor: no grounds to spill anywhere, no filters to mess with, no grinding required (my burr grinder has progressed my tinnitus, I really believe). A couple of things I'm not quite as impressed with: 1. The coffee doesn't stay hot enough in the cup, I assume due to the froth on the top. 2. The reservoir is way too small and more than a bit of an annoyance to have to remove after every 2 or 3 cups. So, this is a great idea but not quite perfected with this unit, so I may end up boxing it back up and returning it.

Easy, convenient and nothing to clean ei: caraf. There are lots of choices of coffee pods and everyone can have what they like. My only complaint would be that I would like it to make larger portions.

I like how the Senseo delivers a rich cup of coffee that closely resembles a high quality Americano.
The down side is that I like the coffee beans from my local roaster and the quality of the prepackaged pouches are not as good and too expensive. I was able to overcome this by packing my own pouches using a 4-cup coffee filter and a tablespoon of finely ground beans per cup. With a little practice you can get tasty cups with a nice frothy head of creama.

Love my Senseo! My hubby hates flavored coffee, so in our regular coffee maker we usually make a pot of regular coffee. I like flavored on occasion, so I can make whatever I want by the cup in my Senseo. It's so easy to just dump out the old pod and put in a new flavor and in a minute I have a fresh cup of what ever flavor I have a yen for! I also use it to heat up water for tea.

This machine is wonderful! We looked at all the other reasonably priced single-serve machines out there before deciding on this one. I like my coffee really strong -- but not bitter -- and I was afraid the pods for this one would not do the trick for me. The Senseo coffee pods are great! They are robust and full of flavor. My favorites are Sumatra and Cappuccino. The machine itself is cute and is pretty easy to work.
If you're really not into a lot of extra frills and just want a great cup of coffee quickly, then this should work for you!
