Harry Potter Gryffindor Sword
Editorial Reviews:
Editorial Review This sword, measuring 2 feet (including the handle) is a decent replica of the sword seen in the Harry Potter movie, complete with "Gryffindor" inscribed on the plastic "blade" in pseudo-Celtic lettering and griffins, unicorns, and other fancy doo-dads on the handle. The top selling point though is that the sword makes crashing, clanking sounds at the push of a button, so young magicians in training can more vividly imagine they are engaged in a real sword battle. There are six fun, realistic sounds in all--making this a weapon that's, well, magical. --David Stoesz

Review #2: Great toy for all ages 2003-07-30 This toy is great for all ages, im 12 and i got it for my birthday and its great for playing with or displaying it in a room. the sound effects are great also.
Review #3: Where can I buy the batteries? 2003-06-23 I bought these swords for my 8 year old daughter and 3 year old son. They have been watching a certain movie at home that has sword fighting so I thought they could pretend play along with the movie. The moment we got in the car they had to open them, they loved the sound effects. They have been playing with them for 1 week straight. Now one of the swords isn't making the sound effects and I realized the batteries died. I read a previous review that said they searched for the batteries, please tell me where to buy them!! These swords are so realistic looking and sounding, great for pretend play and hours of enjoyment. We love it!!!
Review #4: My kid loves it! 2003-05-10 My four year-old loves this sword! It makes sounds like "clanking swords" and "swiping air"...cool, but it NEEDS BATTERIES - the small kind like hearing aide batteries. Shortly after we received the sword, the batteries died and the search for replacements began (they should have designed this toy to use AAA batteries). Three stores and three dollars later - done. My kid also bent the sword and it has never really returned to its original shape (it did not break though).
Review #5: Perfect for kids who love Harry Potter 2003-05-05 Great toy for kids who love Harry Potter. It is very authentic and impressive looking, but as safe as any other toy of this type. The multiple sounds are a big plus. |
