Now, the classic books from the library of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry--Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages--are available in hardcover in a sturdy boxed gift set. (These books are written by J.K. Rowling herself under the pseudonyms Newt Scamander and Kennilworthy Whisp.) Finally, Muggles will have the chance to discover where the Quintaped lives, what the Puffskein eats, and why it is best not to leave milk out for a Knarl. The Quidditch textbook explains where the Golden Snitch came from, how the Bludgers came into existence, and why the Wigtown Wanderers have pictures of meat cleavers on their clothes. Both books, designed to look like Harry Potter's actual, used Hogwarts textbooks, feature silly scribblings from Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Proceeds from the sale of this gift set will go to improving and saving the lives of children around the world. Harry Potter fans, rejoice! (All ages)

Book Description

Review #2: Harry Potter Add-ons

Fun info on some backround wizard world stuff. I enjoyed the books as an adult..not sure a child would as well. No Harry book collection would be complete without them.

Review #3: Must-haves for any Potter fan
2007-03-12
I have been a huge fan of the Harry Potter books from the time that Sorcerer's Stone was first released. I absolutely adore reading them. Although these are classified as schoolbooks, they are just as entertaining and are no exception to the rule. They are great companions to their predecessors - I thought it was so interesting to read about Scamander's "fantastic beasts" or "Quidditch through the Ages". I loved learning more and more about Harry's world through his "schoolbooks". Rowling has done an amazing job with these.

Review #4: Harry Potter Schoolbooks

My children really liked these books. The best was Fantastic Beasts and Wehre to Find Them. They were not as interested in Quidditch Through The Ages, it didn't seem as good. Both are great books for Harry Potter fans.

Review #5: JK Rowling has such a great imagination

After the first book I was hooked and just can't get enough of the Harry Potter serious. Everyone should read these books. They take you to a magical place where the imagination can roam. These companion books are ok and interesting.
