Precious Four Herbs Brew

Non-meaty brew, it's ideal for strengthening the arteries, veins and bones.


20 grams Astragalus
20 grams polygonatum
10 grams dioscorea
1 tablespoon honey
4 cups water


1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a claypot. Rinse the herbs briefly and drain. Put the herbs in the claypot of boiling water and bring to a boil again. Lower heat and simmer the herbal tea for an hour or until it is reduced to 1 cup.

2. Strain the tea into a bowl and add a teaspoon of honey. Stir well and drink the herbal tea while it is still warm, preferably before bedtime.

3. Do not discard the cooked herbs. A second brew can be
made from this and served the next night.

4. To prepare this second brew, add 2 cups of hot water to the used herbs and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer
till the brew is reduced to 3/4 cup.

5. Strain the tea and add 1/2 teaspoon of honey. Drink while still warm.
