Sour Shrimp Soup


1 1/3 pounds black tiger shrimp
2 stalks cilantro
1 scallion
2 fresh chilli peppers
6 tomatoes
1 1/2 ounces straw mushrooms
1/2 lemon
1 tablespoon pickled tamarind

1 tablespoon cooking wine
1 teaspoon salt
pepper as needed


1. Clean and devein shrimp, blanch in boiling water,

2. Cook pickled tamarind in pan with 3 cups water until boiled, reduce heat to low, add sliced tomatoes, mushrooms and chilli pepper, cook for 5 minutes,add shrimps and seasoning to taste.

3. Squeeze juice out of lemon, drizzle over shrimp after shrimp is remove from heat, sprinkle chopped cilantro and
scallion over. Ready to serve.
