Steamed Fish with Lily Bulb

People who possess weak 'yin' essence and 'latent heat' should eat more lily bulb.

Ingredients:

10 ounces threadfin ( wu yu)
2 ounces lily bulbs
1/2 ounces spring onion, shredded

Marinade for fish:
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon light soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon oil
2 slices old ginger, shredded

Instructions:

1. Soak lily bulbs in warm water for 1 hour. Drain. Place the lily bulbs on a steaming plate and steam over medium-high heat for 30 minutes or until tender.

2. Meanwhile, clean and pat dry the fish with a kitchen towel.

3. Marinate for 5 minutes. When the lily bulb is tender, put the marinated fish on top of the lily bulb.

4. Cover and continue to steam for 10 minutes over high
heat. Garnish with shredded spring onions before serving.

Prep/Cooking Time:

30 minutes.
