Stir-Fried Lotus Roots

Stir-fry lotus root, carrot and water chestnut.


1 pound lotus root
10 water chestnuts
3 ounces pork
1/4 cup carrot
1 cloves garlic
2 slices ginger
1/3 green pepper
1 cup water

1/2 tablespoon sugar
1/3 tablespoon sesame oil
2 teaspoon salt
white pepper


1. Scrub lotus root and cut into 1/4 inch length slices.

2. Wash and chop other ingredients.

3. Heat a little cooking oil in frying pan, add garlic and ginger. Saute until aromatic. Add sliced lotus root, pork and water. Cover with lid and cook for 3-5 minutes.

4. Add sliced carrot, water chestnut and green pepper. Stir fry until well done. Add all seasoning.

Prep/Cooking Time:

15 minutes.
